On Monday, the girl, who has sustained around 80% burns, was shifted from the local hospital to a hospital in Vishakapatnam in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh after her condition deteriorated.
Police said the orphan girl stayed with her grandmother and worked in a shop in Rayagada town, about 500 km from Bhubaneswar.
On January 2, while bicycling home from work, she was accosted by three youths who raped her.
