One dies in mishap; 2 others succumb

A TEENAGED youth died while almost a dozen others were injured when a rashly driven bus overturned in Khajuri on Tuesday. Two other persons who got injured in separate mishaps succumbed today.

According to police, minibus MP-28/B-0578 was coming from Ratibad and turned turtle near Tilakhedi village. Raghuvir, 15, a resident of Deharia village, was critically injured and later succumbed to the injuries.

Almost a dozen other passengers were injured. Those with serious injuries were admitted to the Hamidia Hospital. Due to the high speed the driver had lost control over the vehicle, eyewitnesses said.

In another incident, Ramdayal, 60, a resident of Jehangirabad, succumbed to injuries in the hospital. He was crossing the road when a minibus hit him on Monday evening. He died in the hospital today.

The police have registered a case of negligence leading to death against the bus driver and launched a hunt for him. In yet another incident, a woman was hit by a speeding bus near the Post Office in Piplani on Tuesday late evening. She succumbed to her injuries. Efforts were on to identify her till the filing of this report.
