Sources say, the intelligence wing of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) stopped the flyer at T3's arrival hall.
"We stopped him through random profiling as his bag was not going along with the clothes he was wearing. We asked him to open his bag but he said he was asked to deliver this bag to someone in Delhi and doesn't have the key to the lock," said a source. The man, identified as Sanjay Nagia, was coming from Singapore airline flight SQ 407.
"He was stopped around 7:30 am and his baggage was screened. We recovered around 15 video cameras in his bag costing R25 lakh," he added.
"The man has been handed over to the custom department after being detained," CISF spokesperson Rohit Katiyar said.
Customs officials confirmed the detention but he has not been arrested yet.
"We are questioning him to find out the source of cameras," said a customs department official requesting anonymity.
