The hospital authorities said a news channel team had entered the operation theatres with shoes that had infected the OTs. The authorities had, therefore, decided to have all the three OTs properly disinfected despite the members of the channel claiming that they had taken off their shoes and had not entered any of the OTs. They said they had stopped at the entrance to the OT Complex to obtain the version of a doctor.

Meanwhile X-Ray and ultrasound services at Balrampur Hospital remained suspended for several hours on Wednesday as a senior doctor scolded one of the technicians during an inspection visit.

All technicians got together and boycotted work for two hours.
