Apart from the candidates, everything else — from campaigning to arrangements for men, food and country liquor — has been outsourced.

Of the candidates, only the BSP's Brijesh Pathak is forthcoming about the system. Pathak has hired a team of 60 cooks for a month to churn out meals for about 400 workers.
