RK Pachauri, on Friday moved Delhi high court seeking action against some media houses for ’deliberately’ disobeying court orders by publishing averments made against him in connection with the case.
The Energy and Resources Institute (Teri) executive vice chairman RK Pachauri, facing sexual harassment allegations by a former woman colleague, on Friday moved Delhi high court seeking action against some media houses for “deliberately” disobeying court orders by publishing averments made against him in connection with the case. The contempt petition, which also sought directions to ensure compliance of two orders passed in February 2015, will be heard by a bench of Justice JR Midha on March 3.
RK Pachauri has moved to the Delhi High Court against media houses for ’deliberately’ disobeying court orders by publishing averments made against him.
Pachauri referred to media reports claiming “he is being subjected to unfair and illegal media trial” and in these circumstances his fundamental right to a fair trial would be violated. The plea claimed that contents of articles published and aired were highly defamatory and prejudicial to his case.
