“Pakistan fired at the Indian forward posts at around 11pm on Thursday night. The army also retaliated in a calibrated manner,” said an army official.

Army sources said Pakistan used light fire arms and firing continued till late into the night. Pakistan has been consistently violating ceasefire since mid July.

A 7-year-old student was injured and several homes damaged in the Pakistan firing in Sabjuian area of Poonch on October 15.
