A Pakistani woman and her three children, staying illegally in the country for several months, have been arrested in Amritsar, police said on Sunday.

A Pakistani woman and her three children, staying illegally in the country for several months, have been arrested in Amritsar, police said on Sunday.
Mumtaz was living in the Sultanwind locality of the city for the past several months along with her children Aisha (10), Suhel (8) and Amna (7), they said.
The woman, hailing from Karachi in Pakistan, had crossed over to India from Bangladesh where she had married. However, Mumtaz's husband was already married and deserted her, they added.
A case has been registered against her under the Indian Passport Act and Indian Foreign Act.
