PEEVED AT the manner in which they were being treated, the senior Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers on Friday criticised the State Government for what they called the victimisation of the PCS cadre.
Officers, who spoke on the first day of annual convention of the Uttar Pradesh PCS Association at the Ganna Sansthan Auditorium here, said the Government was penalising PCS officers for no fault of theirs. Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav will formally inaugurate convention on Saturday.
Association president Baba Hardeo Singh presided over the convention while the senior PCS officer SP Singh gave a presentation about the urban development.
The Government was placing PCS officers under suspension without even hearing their point of view, said a senior officer adding that the association would lodge a strong protest against that trend.
The officers, who are performing well, were being removed without assigning any reason. The State Government was also flouting all norms of hierarchy and the PCS officers were posted under CDOs even after working as CDO, they said.
