The party says it believes that former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is the “main culprit” in setting the state on fire and is waiting for the Congress to take action against Azad first.

“Now, we will think of taking action against our colleagues only after seeing what action the Congress takes against Azad, who along with former Governor SK Sinha pushed the issue to the extent that the whole state is on the boil today,” party sources said.

PDP sources had earlier said that the party had decided to take disciplinary action against Baig and Afzal for their role.
