Round the Earth Cycling Club’s rally will go from Gateway of India to Thane, a distance of 45 km, on Monday.

They will also submit a list of demands to the Centre and state, with a call for better methods to combat terrorism and promote national unity.

Organiser Kaustabh Gujare said: “The common man has a lot of anger at what has happened and this will give everyone, young and old, the chance to protest.” The group will list 10 demands and collect signatures. They will then submit the charters to PM Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Patil, while also unfurling a banner outside Mantralaya.

“This war is not against Pakistan nor against any religion or community, but against terrorism,” Gujare specified.

The group is expecting 50 people on Monday, but anyone with a bike can turn

up at Gateway at 7 am and take part.
