?Performing on stage is real test for actor?

‘‘REAL ACTING is when you perform on the stage, since it does not give any scope for retakes and the audience gives you the feedback at once. Thus real actor is one who can perform well in front of a live audience.’’ These were the views expressed by television actress Resham Tipnis at a ‘meet the press’ programme during her visit to the City today.
Resham Tipnis, known for her bubbly role in serials like ‘Campus’, ‘Chupke-Chupke’, ‘Woh Rehne Wali Mahlo Ki’ and ‘Karishma’ the debut serial of actress Karisma Kapoor on small screen, is more interested in theatre. The actress has also bagged the ‘Stage Award’ for her acting in the plays like ‘Mrigjal’ and ‘Satva Pariksha’.
Having started her career with Marathi films, Resham then turned to the small screen with the youth serial Campus. With seven serials aired on different channels in her kitty, Resham likes to work for small screen rather than the silver screen, as its takes too much time to shoot films. On the other hand serials run longer and have wider variety of shades.
Resham, a mother of two who has also worked in some films like ‘Baazigar’ and ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shadi Hein’, nurtures the dream to work with Amitabh Bachchan, like many others. Resham said she does not hanker after lead roles, she would rather do roles that are remembered. She also said that a check should be put on obscenity shown in films.
