PG admissions open in DU

DU has announced admissions open for PG courses for various subjects. MA English registration will begin from June 12 onwards.

Delhi University has announced admissions open for post graduate courses for various subjects. MA English registration will begin from June 12 and conclude on June 23.

An admission test will be held thereafter on June 29 at the Department of English. “For most MA courses the eligibility criterion in DU is that, anyone who has scored a first division in their graduate course from the University will directly get through for their Masters.

Those who have secured below 55 % have to appear for a written examination. There are other criteria also depending on the course of choice,” said a DU official. In case of a post graduate degree in English, Candidates with a BA (Hons) degree in English from DU with 55% marks or above do not need to appear in the test, and are eligible for admission to the MA programme.

In case of Economics, the registration can be done till June 16 and an admission test will be held on 24 June. Students from BA (Hons) Economics of DU with 50% or more marks in the aggregate are eligible for this.

In case they have an Economics degree of any other Indian University recognised by DU with 50% or more marks in the aggregate, they are also eligible. Registration for MA History will begin on June 19 and conclude on June 28 while the entrance exam will be held on July 6.

MA philosophy registration is open from 5 June to 28 June and exam will be held on 3 July. For political science, registration will begin on June 21 and conclude on June 30 and admission test will be held on July 7. MA sociology registration is open till June 30 and exam is on July 7.
