PGAT on July 15, no need for new admit cards

It may be recalled that PGAT for Hindi held on July 1 was cancelled following allegations of leakage of the question paper. AU chief public information officer (CPRO) Prof Amarendra Kumar Singh informed that the admit cards issued to examinees for the earlier test shall remain valid for the July 15 examination.
However, duplicate admit cards can be obtained between 8 am and 10 am on July 15 from the counter especially opened on the south side of the AU Senate Hall.
UGAT-06 admission to be re-scheduled: The admission process of AU UGAT-2006 has been amended and the new schedule will be declared shortly. According to Prof Amarendra Kumar Singh, the result of UGAT-2006 of Allahabad University was declared in June-end.
Thereafter, detailed programme of admission in BA, BSc, Bcom Part-I was declared, according to which, the admission process was scheduled to start from July 11. Due to unavoidable reasons, however, the admission programme declared earlier had to be amended. The revised admission programme for above classes would be held according to the revised programme that will be announced in a while.
AU Prof to visit Scotland
PROF HARI Dutt Sharma of the department of Sanskrit, University of Allahabad, has been invited to attend ‘13th World Sanskrit Conference’ to be held in the University of Edinburgh, Scotland from July 10 to 14 under the auspices of the ‘International association of Sanskrit Studies’. He will present his paper on ‘The concept of Symbolism and Sanskrit Poetry’ in the section ‘poetry, drama and Aesthetics’ and also participate in the ‘International Sanskrit poetic convention’ specially organized on the occasion. Dr Sharma has gone abroad previously several times to attend international conferences.
V-C remarks: AU student union president Ajit Kumar Yadav has asked AU Vice-Chancellor to put a check on his remarks against students leaders and not to defend culprits responsible for leakage of the PGAT-06 question paper.
