PIB officer gets gold medal at IIM Bangalore

Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Alok Mishra has topped the Post-Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) at IIM, Bangalore.

Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Alok Mishra has topped the Post-Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) at IIM, Bangalore.

He was awarded gold medal by former Chief Justice of India and NHRC Chairman M N Venkatchalliah at the convocation function two days ago.

Mishra, who graduated from IIT, Delhi, joined the IIS in 1998.

During more than 10 years in the government, he had stints with Doordarshan News, New Delhi and Directorate of Public Relations (Ministry of Defence), Mumbai.

Mishra is currently posted as Deputy Director in Press Information Bureau (PIB), Mumbai.
