Valentine’s Day is not just about flowers, chocolates and candlelight dinners anymore. ‘Date different’ seems to be the mantra for most young couples, which directly leads to the hunt for creative ways to express your feelings on this special day. Well, quirky animated cards have replaced boring greeting cards, as has a chopper ride replaced cruising along a car.

For TV actor Barsha Bisht, it has to be well planned and lavish when it comes to that special day. “I’m a sea-loving person, I’d want to be taken to a beach… a private beach. It’s cliché, but it would be awesome to enjoy a cozy dinner in the middle of the sea on a private yatch,” laughs Bisht.

Shweta Keshwani echoes the feeling: “A beach basket with different kinds of cheese, caviar and chocolates would be lovely. Maybe he should carry bathing suits… and we can go for a swim. A back massage with expensive aromatic oils is really romantic too.”

Actor Chunky Pandey seems to have already used that one: “We’re taking off to Alibaug on a friend’s yacht to attend a wedding actually. We’re going to chill on the beach after it’s over.”

However, not everyone is upbeat about celebrating V-Day. Director Shirish Kunder hasn’t planned anything. “I’m too tied up with work. We are staying home; maybe we’ll call a few close friends over and drink on our terrace.”

While, the traditional romantics like it personal, some couples like, Vindu Dara Singh and his wife, prefer partying their way into the day. Since Singh will not be in the city on February 14, he has planned to take his wife out to the open-air bar — Aer — before he leaves. “We could go party at Escobar too. I have to make up for not being there on the D-day you see,” he jokes.

Make heads turn!

Book a billboard at a location of your choice and publish your message on it. Preferably pick a route that your partner regularly takes; call her/him at the ideal time to look out for an enormous board proclaiming your love for her/him. Oh! We suggest you be in vicinity to watch their face go pink. Bright Outdoor Advertising Agency can help you book a hoarding for a day. Prices depend on the location and a separate charge will be levied for the rental, printing and mounting charges. For instance, booking a billboard in Bandra will cost you Rs 2.5 lakh for a 30/20-foot board.

Project your love for her
And you thought those cool virtual projections on buildings only happened in movies. Try this to make it to your lover’s heart: call the Graffiti Research Lab, pick an image, and they’ll help you project it and much more, on the buildings. They will even help you convince the residents. So, go on and hand over the laser pen to your beloved. The price is Rs 1.5 lakh for 2-3 hours of projection.

Sail through your love
Book a private yacht, blindfold your partner and help her/him get onto it. When you’re surrounded by nothing but her/him, drop down on your knees and tell them how they are the centre of your universe. Or better, pop a question you want an affirmative answer to. A refusal will be tough. To celebrate in style, carry champagne bottles and arrange for some nice continental food.

Contact: Airnetz Aviation. They will let out a yacht for Rs 1 lakh for about four hours.
