In a timely intervention police on Saturday prevented child marriages of 11 minors of Balai community that was organised in Jaipur at Bhavani Niketan school on Saturday.
According to police, after a report on 21 minor couples that were to be married on Saturday, police checked the age records of these couples and found that 11 couples were minors.
The authorities intervened on time and stopped the marriage of these couples because the girls in these 11 couples were minors according to the ration card, police added.
