Circle Officer (Colonelganj) Rahul Srivastava along with his force and members of the AU proctorial board carried out checking in the Senate House block and other areas. The authorities questioned the students roaming the campus and standing in queue at the administrative block counters and asked them to show their identity cards. Those unable to produce their I-cards were detained but later let off with a warning.
Srivastava said that keeping in view the recent incidents on the campus security had been beefed up. "We have arranged a two-tier security system to cover both the internal as well as external areas of the campus. We have requested the AU administration to provide back-up to facilitate implementation of security arrangements."
The persons involved in the recent bomb explosions and shooting incidents had been identified and investigations were on, he added.
Members of Proctorial board included Dr Ram Sewak Dubey, Dr Deenanath Shukla, Dr RK Chaubey and Dr Abhinav Gupta.
