Police solve maid murder case
THE CANTONMENT police arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a maid servant of a university teacher at latter?s residence in Hirapuri Colony under the Cantonment police.
THE CANTONMENT police arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a maid servant of a university teacher at latter’s residence in Hirapuri Colony under the Cantonment police.
The accused were identified as Rajkumar, Rajesh and Gopal.
On Sunday, Investigating Officer SN Singh questioned Divya Rani Singh, a university teacher, regarding the death of her house servant Radha. During investigation, Divya Rani said Radha had illicit relation with Rajkumar, a washerman.
She said Rajkumar used to wash her clothes at her residence when Radha used to be alone in her flat. She also said when she came to know about their relation, she adopted a tactics to lock the flat from outside when she used to go the university. Divya Rani said on the day of incident, Rajkumar had come to clean the clothes but he was sent back.
Police also interrogated a university teacher Anurag Deepak, who used to keep the key of the flats of Divya Rani in her absence. Anuraag said that the key was in his possession.
The police also recovered a diary of Radha and in several pages of the diary the names of Rajesh and Rajkumar were mentioned. This indicates that there is relation between Radha and Rajkumar.
Meanwhile, police are interrogating Rajkumar, Gopal and Rajesh and they are confident that the main accused will be arrested soon. Radha was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the resident of Divya Rani on Thursday last.
