Now our politicians are doing the same to get votes. Reservations should be only for economically backward sections, no matter from which caste or region he is from.

Minority status on the basis of religion will take the country back to the dark ages. Today’s political paradigm is based on common civil rights where religion is a personal matter. If a bleeding citizen is rushed to an emergency ward, his blood group identity would be helpful, not his religious, caste or minority status. The policy to preserve outdated religious or caste identities will slow us down as a nation.

The new traffic regulations are laudable. The root cause of road accidents is violation of traffic rules. Most motorists jump red lights. There is need to check bus drivers as well.
