Prabhavati Mahajan, late Pramod Mahajan's mother, passes away
Prabhavati Venkatesh Mahajan, the mother of the late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, and mother-in-law of senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde, passed away at a private hospital on Sunday due to age-related illness.

She was 82.
Prabhavati was staying with Prakash Mahajan, Pramod's younger brother, for the last few years. She was hospitalized in Sigma hospital last week.
Apart from Gopinath Munde, her dauther Pratibha Bhatandekar, daughter-in-law Rekha, grand-daughters Poonam and Pankaja were present at the hospital when she passed away this morning, family sources said.
The last rites were performed at a city crematorium late afternoon.
Pramod, most famous of her three sons, died in May 2006 after having been shot by Pravin, his younger brother.
Pravin, sentenced to life sentence for the murder, died due to brain haemorrhage last year.
Apart from three sons, she had two daughers: Pradnya (who married Gopinath Munde) and Pratibha.
Her husband, Venkatesh Mahajan, died in 1970.
