Recent incident talking of Mahim beach's salty water turning sweet has left the Mumbaiites puzzled! Thousands are thronging the beach just to quench their thirst. Is it a miracle or sheer superstition? No one can say for sure.

However, being superstitious is still a way of life not only for commoners but for stars too! They are crazy about numbers, dates, names and peculiar objects. Let's check out what makes celebrities superstitious...

While Karan Johar is quite superstitions about number 8, Priety Zinta gets goose bumps when black cat crosses her way and Rani Mukherjee frequently says 'touch wood'. Other stars too have faith in myths and superstitions. Read on to know what they have to say.

Celina Jaitley says, "Others might call it superstition but those who experience it realize that there is something charismatic about all these things. I always carry a locket of Durga with me and I have experienced that it brings good luck to me all the time."

Bipasha Basu also justifies her superstitions by saying, "My mother has gifted me this ring after performing pooja on it. I have great faith in the power of worship and I believe that my ring brings good fortune to me because it carries good wishes of my mother."

Koena Mitra is quite defensive about her beliefs. "There is a power in this world which rules all of us. I have read lot of miraculous incidents that I believe is the manifestation of the fact that something exits which rules our lives. I keep a picture of Kali with me because it gives me strength and a sense of security," says Koena.
