Prime Minister to visit Gondia on Feb 9

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be arriving for a day-long visit to Gondia in Vidarbha region on February 9.

Singh would be laying the foundation stone of Rs 8,000 crore 2000 mw thermal power station at Tiroda near Gondia and also for Rajiv Gandhi Flying Academy in Gondia, a pilot training centre, Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel told reporters in Nagpur last night.

Patel said Prime Minister will also attend the annual day function of an education institute run by the Gondia Education Society before returning to Delhi.

Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, who had announced the setting up of 2000 mw coal-fired power generation plant by Adani group, will also be present on the occasion.
