PRO-RESERVATIONIST MEDICOS and other organisations this evening took out a torch rally from Tin Shed to Roshanpura and burnt effigies of anti-reservationists and those opposing the constitutional rights of the downtrodden.

Hundreds of persons took part in the rally and raised slogans in favour of reservation and Union HRD minister Arjun Singh. MP Junior Doctors’ Association pro-reservation faction leader Dr Vineet Gour demanded that the reservation should not be confined just to the AIIMS and centrally funded institutions.

“We urge the Union Government to provide reservation to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and OBC in the All India Pre-PG exam too,” Dr Gour maintained.

MP Backward Classes Organisation State president Rajmani Patel, APAAKS patron Sardar Singh Dangas, former mayor Deepchand Yadav, Ibrahim Quereshi and many other leaders of backward classes organisations supporting reservation took part in the rally.
