Programme today on gynae?oncology

A CONTINUING medical education programme on gynae?oncology will be organised at the Bombay Hospital in Indore tomorrow. The maiden conference intended to spread awareness about gynaec oncology that covers wide aspects of oncosurgery of cervical CA, ovarian and uterine cancer is organised jointly by Bombay Hospital and Indore Obstetrics and Gynecological Society.

A CONTINUING medical education programme on gynae–oncology will be organised at the Bombay Hospital in Indore tomorrow. The maiden conference intended to spread awareness about gynaec oncology that covers wide aspects of oncosurgery of cervical CA, ovarian and uterine cancer is organised jointly by Bombay Hospital and Indore Obstetrics and Gynecological Society.

Commenting on the need for such a programme, Dr Namrata Kachhara, consultant gynecologist and gynecologic oncosurgeon at Bombay Hospital and organising secretary of this CME said, “The whole idea of organising such an educative programme is to make a common practitioner aware of the recent treatment advancement in this field and more specifically to promote preventive measures to avoid this type of cancer”.

Dr Namrata said this programme will be an interesting and innovative mixture of state-of-the-art lectures, videos to depict the case studies, discussions about gynecological cancer, which will offer a new understanding for the specialists and new hope for the patients.

There will be two renowned guest faculties namely Dr H Toangavkar, chief gynae oncosurgery, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and Dr S Chhabra, director and head, obstetrics and gynaecology, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences.
