The chief secretary said the TMB would have experts from the IIT-K and the IIM. Besides, there will be bureaucrats in the board to assist technical experts in working out modalities of development programmes. The TMB will be headed by the Chief Secretary of the State.

He said in the initial stage the thrust area for the Board would be e-governance, disaster management, distance education and health services. Later, many more areas could be brought under its purview, he added.

He said the government had decided to implement programmes of development of six districts received under the National Urban Development Mission with assistance of technical advisors and experts.

He said the government was committed to achieve the vision of ‘Uttam Pradesh’ in coming years ensuring clean and effective administration.

On power sector management, Ramni said though the issue was on priority list of the government this would be discussed in detail in the next meeting with IIT-K experts in the field. Ramni said the government was keen to initiate e-governance with the help of technical institute like the IIT-K to ensure speedy development of the state. The system would assist the government to promote the concept of ‘Janata Diwas’ organized from a central place.
