TO PROTEST the hike in prices of essential commodities, activists of Samajwadi Sindhi Sabha staged a dharna at Bhelupur Crossing here on Tuesday.

The demonstrators held the UPA government at Centre responsible for the alleged sharp rise in prices of essential commodities and said efforts should be made to check the increasing prices in the interest of common people.
Addressing the dharna, Mahanagar president of Samajwadi Party Rakesh Jain criticised the anti-people economic policies of the Union government.
The demonstrators alleged that the Union government was playing in the hands of developed countries and had adopted anti-people attitude. “If steps are not taken to arrest the increasing prices, we would launch a massive campaign against the Union government”, said the demonstrators.
Kumar Lal Sachdeva, Dr OP Singh, Manoj Rai, Shanker Vishnani, Ram Sharan Bind, Yogendra Yadav and Rajesh Verma were among those who addressed the dharna and criticised the Union government.’
