In a meeting convened on the temple premises on Tuesday night, it was decided that if the police administration did not arrest the miscreants within 24 hours, they would intensify their agitation.

However, Senior Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Pandey assured the leaders that the police department would do all possible efforts to nab the miscreants. The SSP also assured that an outpost would also be set up there to ensure security at Batuk Bhariav Temple and nearby temples.

The meeting was convened under the leadership of chief priest of Batuk Bhariav temple, Vindeshwari Puri. It was also decided that the devotees and locals would stage a massive demonstration outside the Bhelupur police station. The activists of Bharatiya Janta Party and Shiv Sena would also stage demonstrations at separate places.

Prominent among others, who participated in the meeting included representative of the priest’s family of Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Rajit Shankar Tripathi, priest of Annapurna Temple Rameshwar Puri, Naveen Giri of Kal Bhairav Temple and president of Lal Bhairav Temple Harihar Pandey.
