The huge procession of activists from the BJP and the Indian National Lok Dal led by Haryana BJP chief Krishen Pal Gujjar descended on the Ballabgarh railway station, protesting against what they alleged Central government’s anti-farmer policies.

The activists and leaders of both the allied parties first assembled at Anaj Mandi in Ballabgarh and later proceeded towards the station, raising slogans against UPA-2 for making lives of the farmers worse.

“We want immediate implementation of the Swaminathan Commission Report,” Gujjar, said.

As the protesters marched towards the railway station using the busy Mathura Road, traffic on the busy highway remained slightly affected till the crowed entered the railway station.

“There was no disruption in the rail traffic,” an official spokesman said.
