"We are in the process of submitting bids for the 400 MW Arun-III project and 300 MW upper Karnali project in Nepal," HK Sharma, chief of the Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (SJVNL) here, said on Wednesday.

Bhutanese government officials are visiting projects in Himachal Pradesh and have assured SJVNL that it would be invited to bid for hydel plants in the country soon, Sharma said.

He said the public sector undertaking would generate a record 6,000 million units of power in Himachal Pradesh by the end of this financial year.

Two years ago, the SJVNL built the 1,500 MW Nathpa hydel project in Himachal Pradesh, the largest in the country.
