PT Usha chosen for Basavashree award

Yesteryear sprint queen PT Usha has been chosen for this year’s Basavashree award in recognition of her contribution to the field of sports.
Shivacharya Swamiji, Pontiff of Murugarajendra Mutt, which instituted the award, informed the reporters on Sunday.
The award carries Rs one lakh and a citation and would be presented to Usha at function to be held during Dasara festivities.
