Speaking on the occasion, PHED secretary Rakesh Agrawal underlined the role of public representatives in implementing the sanitation programme in villages.
It was also informed that support amount for construction of wet toilets had been increased from Rs 500 to 1,200. Similarly, the beneficiary has to add Rs 300 now instead of Rs 125. Divisional Commissioner Jaideep Govind also spoke at the workshop.
Nagda bandh A BANDH was observed in Nagda on Tuesday to protest against erratic power supply there. All shops and business establishments remained closed. The call was given by the local traders’ association and the Congress, too, had joined the agitation. The city is facing unannounced power cuts daily, causing hardship to citizens.
