This century has seen the indiscriminate use of all sources of freshwater - be it surface or underground - close to 70 percent of which gets used in agriculture. This has led to widespread depletion of water and drying up of aquifers across the globe. This video tries to look at simple ways of re-charging these underground aquifers which might hold a key to the problem.
