Being single is no more taboo. Young women across the world are choosing to delay coupledom. Savvy singles call themselves quirkyalones - a term coined by Sarah Cagen.

Quirkyalone (KWUR.kee.uh.lohn) : A coin by American writer, Sarah Cagen, described in detail in her book by the same name.

So what does it mean?

A person who enjoys being single and so prefers to wait for the right person to come along rather than dating indiscriminately. It was in her book by the same name that she explained the term.
