Reports in the media also say that Rahul Gandhi may be made a minister without a portfolio so that he can concentrate on organisational tasks in UP and Bihar while also gaining experience in the government.

With the demand for Rahul Gandhi's induction into the new UPA Cabinet rising, the focus is now on the party leadership as to what decision they take.

Reports say that the 'proposal' has been put forward by senior Congress leaders who feel that Gandhi should be in the cabinet following the party's big win in the 2009 elections which is being seen in large measure a result of his bold move to jettison demanding allies and go it alone in UP and Bihar.
