Over one lakh persons were affected, who have been shifted to safer places.
"The rising waters of Krishna and the unstoppable rain had badly affected our rescue operations on Friday," Resident Deputy Collector Ashok Kakde said on Saturday.
Floods due to the incessant rains since last one week have marooned 213 villages in four talukas directly affecting 1,23,960 people, who have been shifted to 70 camps, he said adding, however, there has been so far no casualty reported.
The district recorded about 66 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours until 8.30 am on Saturday.
Asked the reason behind the administration so far distributing a lowly cash dole of Rs 1.67 lakh only, the Resident Deputy Collector attributed it to the continuous spell of heavy downpour and a rising Krishna River.
