A Rajasthan police constable shot dead three persons, including a colleague and a woman at a village bordering Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours on Wednesday.

Chandrakant, posted in the Deeg police post opened fire from his service rifle killing all the three on the spot at Puchadi Lote village at Goverdhan, Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said.

Police later arrested Chandrakant who threatened to kill anyone who came near his room where he was confined himself, Bharatpur District Superintendent Anand Srivastava said.

The constable is suspected to be mentallyisturbed, the minister added.
