Preparation of BJP activists and local leaders is on war footing to make it a grand success.
Teams of BJP activists and local leaders were engaged in making contacts with public to apprise them about the objectives of BJP’s Bharat Suraksha Yatra. Hundreds of BJP activists were engaged in mobilising people in favour of Rajnath’s yatra.
Rajnath Singh would land at the Varanasi Airport through a chartered plane from Kolkata at 11.15 am on Tuesday. He is scheduled to address a grand public meeting at the DAV College ground on Tuesday evening at 6.30 pm. Later, on Wednesday morning, Singh would initiate the second phase of Bharat Suraksha Yatra from Varanasi. The Bharat Suraksha Yatra will cover several districts in Uttar Pradesh.
In a joint Press conference here on Monday, member of BJP state working committee Ashok Pandey, state vice-president of BJP’s intellectual cell, Dr Kaushal Kishore Mishra and Nagendra Gandhi said that Bharat Suraksha Yatra, which was taken by leader of the Opposition, LK Advani and national president Rajnath Singh, was getting mass support throughout the country.
“It is a massive public campaign against the anti-people and undemocratic policies of Congress-led UPA government,” they said. They said religious places have become soft target of terrorists to spoil the integrity and unity of the country.
