
Rakhi's pistol recovered
An Italy-made pistol stolen from the Mumbai residence of actress Rakhi Gulzar in January last has been recovered with the arrest of two persons by the district police here.
The 8 mm pistol of Italian make, which was stolen from Rakhi Gulzar's house at Bandra in Mumbai, was recovered from two alleged criminals, who were arrested from Kharwara village on May 21, Superintendent of Police Lalji Shukla said.
He said the pistol, worth Rs four lakh, was stolen from Rakhi's house along with other valuables, between January 20 to January 30 and a case was registered at Bandra police station in this regard.
The accused Munna Mishra and Rajjan Pandey were trying to sell the pistol to some persons in Pratapgarh, he claimed.
He said that a team of Mumbai police would be reaching here and would take the two criminals on remand.
