The commission's vice-chairperson Raj Kumar Verka said Ramdev had hurt the sentiments of the girl's family by visiting her home. Verka, who met the girl's family at an undisclosed location, said Ramdev's visit revealed the identity of the victim.

He directed the Chandigarh Police to submit a detailed report of the rape incident and the action taken to the commission at the earliest.

"Ramdev should not have gone to her house since it is a sensitive issue," Verka told the media in Chandigarh.

Ramdev had visited the girl's home on Saturday and assured help.

The minor school girl has accused five Chandigarh Police constables of rape, molestation, criminal intimidation and harassment.

She claimed two of them raped her repeatedly and three others molested and harassed her, forcing her to have physical relations with them.

The victim's ordeal continued for nearly two months after she sought police help following a domestic fight in her house three months back.
