Ranbir, the singer gets a thumbs up!

The Kapoor scion impressed composers Vishal Shekhar with his flawless voice, as he recorded a song in just 45 minutes for his next movie, Anjaana Anjaani opposite Priyanka Chopra.

The Kapoor scion impressed composers Vishal Shekhar with his flawless voice, as he recorded a song in just 45 minutes for his next movie, Anjaana Anjaani opposite Priyanka Chopra.

In the scene, Ranbir is required to break into the song with a band playing behind him. He sings for around one-and-half minutes.

Director Siddharth Anand is all praise for the actor. He tells a daily, “Ranbir improvised a lot and did a brilliant job. It was my idea to make him sing. He knew about it from the time he read the script. But the scene where he sings remains to be shot. It will be canned in the next schedule in the US.”

Vishal also liked what Ranbir did and thinks that Ranbir’s voice was necessary for credibility. He said, “Though it’s a song, it’s also a scene. We had to get Ranbir to do it for authenticity and he totally rocked!”

As per buzz, Priyanka Chopra will also be singing a solo for the film.
