Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut takes on another fact-packed film, reports Vajir Singh.Updated: Mar 09, 2009 17:22 IST
High on the success of her last two releases, Fashion and Raaz – The Mystery Continues, Kangana Ranaut has signed on a film after going through various scripts.
The project in question is Milan Luthria’s Once Upon a Time in Mumbai produced by Balaji Motion Pictures.
The film deals with the origin of the mafia in the city during the 1970s and ’80s.
Ajay Devgan plays the lead and rumour has it that his character is loosely based on notorious don Haji Mastan who ruled the crime syndicate in Mumbai during that era.
Apart from Devgan and Ranaut, the film toplines Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai. A source adds that Ranaut is expected to play the love interest of Devgan in Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.
The shooting is expected to start from May. Major portions of the film will be shot in Mumbai while some important scenes will be filmed in Dubai and Bangkok.
