REDCO will not only share the important document, Vision 2020, with the councillors but it will also seek their involvement in making Gurgaon more livable, said REDCO officials.

A majority of privately-developed townships such as DLF City, Sushant Lok, South City, Greenwood City and other high-rise gated communities on Sohna Road as well as Huda sectors from 27 to 57, fall under the seven wards (between ward Nos. 29 and 35).

REDCO will also call more councillors from other wards in batches of seven each. More councillors from wards comprising Palam Vihar and Huda sectors as well as villages will also be involved in the meetings.

Col. Prithavi Nath, vice-president of REDCO (north India), said the idea is to make the new councillors aware of the Vision 2020, which was prepared by REDCO in consultation with Huda, senior RWA representatives and NGOs.

"It is not that the municipal councillors are not aware of the requirements of residents in their respective areas. We simply want to make them to know what Vision 2020 document is all about. We will also seek their suggestions to improve the document in any way they can for all-round development. Gurgaon has seen a sea change on many fronts, one of them being land reforms," said Nath. The meeting will be held in DLF City Club in DLF City Phase 4.
