BRITISH LIBRARY Bhopal is organising the Reading Voyage Competition for children. The competition aims at encouraging children to read more and help them learn retaining as well.

This competition has already toured more than 40 countries and this will be second running of this contest by British Library Bhopal. There will be six weekly workshops for children on story telling, voice modulation, review writing and creative thinking.

There is a special collection of more than 50 books by 40 writers to select from including works of well-known contemporary children writers such as Michael Morpugo, Steve Barlow, Anthony Horowitz, Debi Gillori, Valeri Bloom and Jacqueline Wilson. During the workshops, children will also share what they have read during the week.

The competition is open to all family membership cardholder children in the age group of eight to 12 years. The registration is open till Wednesday, May 10.

The library is also organising awareness sessions for children above 12 years of age on disability sensitisation, best out of waste, emotional intelligence, environment awareness and mime.
