"As a woman, I know that no girl can stoop so low as to be part of a scandal at will. So, I have decided to form the 'Forum Against Social Evils', which will eradicate social evils and provide rehabilitation to exploited and destitute girls," Dukhtaran chief Asiya Indrabi said
She said the forum would not be an orphanage or destitute home, but "a sacred home" with vocational centres for girls that have allegedly been sexually exploited.
Indrabi and Kashmir High Court Bar Association chairman Mian Abdul Qayoom, who among others spoke at a seminar for the launch of the Forum, claimed the reasons for the sex scandal allegedly involving senior bureaucrats and politicians "are all political".
