She also alleged that he had pretended to be a policeman.

On Saturday at 10 pm, Gurpreet Chandok (40) was parking her car near her residence, Manohar Society at Turner Road in Bandra.

A security guard of the nearby China Gate Hotel approached her and asked if he could drink water from the bottle kept in her car.

Chandok refused and told him to mind his business.

Moments later, a fight broke out between the two.

“When the argument went beyond limit, Chandok dragged the guard to his superior at the hotel,” said Anil Mude, assistant police inspector.

The guard’s superior, Bablu Sonkar (33), introduced himself as a policeman and started fighting with her, said Chandok.

The accused, however, told the police that he said he was the guard’s ‘superior officer’ but Chandok might have misunderstood him.

The police have charged him based on the Chandok’s complaint. “Chandok approached us and said that Sonkar had abused her and pretended to be a policeman. We had arrested Sonkar on the charge of abusing Chandok and pretending to be a police officer,” added Mude.

On Sunday, Sonkar was released on a bail of Rs 1,000.
