RK Sharma gets bail for daughter's wedding

The court asked him to furnish a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh before the trial court.

The Delhi High Court on Friday granted an interim bail of four weeks to suspended IPS officer RK Sharma, to attend his daughter's marriage.

Sharma is facing trial in the Shivani Bhatnagar murder case.

Justice SK Agarwal, who granted the bail, however, said that Sharma should not move out of his residence in Panchkula near Chandigarh during the period.

The court asked him to furnish a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh before the trial court.

Sharma had moved the court for an interim bail on the plea that his presence was essential in Chandigarh since his daughter's marriage was scheduled to take place on February 18.
