RLD National General Secretary Anuradha Choudhry criticised Pawar for his "irresponsible" statements related to rising prices of milk, sugar and other items, and demanded his removal from the government.

Former minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party leader Choudhry Virender Singh has also condemned Pawar's statement and said it was not correct for a union minister to make such a statement.
