As per the directives of General Manager of North Central Railway (NCR) Budh Prakash, the staff deployed in the VIP special trains are required to carry identity card with them. The directions have been given with a view to enhance the security of important personalities travelling in such trains. With this measure, it would become easy to check the entry of non- staff in the trains as the photo identity card of the staff member will help in differentiating between the staff and non-staff travellers.

When contacted Chief Public Relation Officer NCR BP Pandey said that the employees under group C and group D category who are to be deployed in the VIP special trains are required to have their identity cards. Besides, even the senior officers have to strictly follow the same rule.

Meanwhile in another development the Nagar Nigam officials have asked the railway authorities to stop construction of staff colony at Mundera village as the land where the colony is being built belong to a pond as per revenue records.

The enforcement squad of the Nagar Nigam reached the southern area of Mundera village on Monday, there they found that the pond land has been encroached by the railway authorities and the authorities have raised walls to proceed with the construction work.
