Rs. 1-cr prize for Gagan Narang

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday congratulated ace shooter Gagan Narang for winning a bronze in the 10m Air Rifle at London Olympics and announced a reward of Rs. 1 crore for him.

Hooda said that Gagan has brought laurels to the state and the country and had made every Indian feel proud by getting India's first medal in the London Olympics.

Hooda said that those winning gold medals in the Olympics would get Rs. 2.50 crore, silver Rs. 1.50 crore and bronze Rs. 1 crore.

Gagan's grandfather lived in Samalkha in Panipat. The family later shifted to Hyderabad.
